I’m in another show, this time a comedy! (My post-CMU debut, Gross Indecency: The Three Trial of Oscar Wilde, was—while an amazing show—a bit of a downer in terms of subject matter.) The new show is called Stuck, and it’s a one-act about two couples who get stuck (hence the title) in an elevator. Hilarity ensues.

The show is being performed alongside 3 other one-acts at the Eureka Theatre in San Francisco, as part of Three Wise Monkeys Theatre Company’s 8th annual Bay One Acts. There are actually 2 “programs” of 4 one-acts each. Be sure to get tickets for Program I, or else you won’t see me. Also, contrary to what it says on the poster and the Web site, Stuck is the first one on, not the third—so don’t be late!

Playing my love interest for the third time (!!!) is Dana Lewenthal. She’s the one who dragged me into the show, actually, figuring me to be a shoe-in for the part of Jim. And I’ll have to say, she was right. Not only that, but the writing is both natural and funny—not something you often see in a locally-written one-act.

Yes, these are all written by local playwrights, none of them particularly big names (as far as I know). I can’t personally vouch for the quality of the other shows, but Stuck has a solid cast and an awesome director. So come to see me, and stay for the others!
